(Tulsa, Ok)--Charles Page Boulevard winds through the Crosbie Heights neighborhood just west of downtown Tulsa. Neighborhood Association president Scott Smith sees new life in the old area. The owner of Jackalope Grocery at 3rd and Phoenix Avenue says much of the neighborhood's resurgance is tied to downtown's rebirth. The neighborhood on Saturday celebrates its 100th birthday. That includes ground being broken for a Crosbie Heights monument in a park at 3rd and Nogales. In the shadow of the new BOK Center, Smith is seeing once dilapidated homes being bought and fixed up by familes attracted to the near downtown location. Crosbie Heights is near the river and bike paths. It is also within walking distance to downtown Tulsa restaurants and entertainment venues.
