Sam Bradford was first and Gerald McCoy was third ancd Trent Williams was fouth. With that, the rout was on when it comes to state picks and the NFL draft. Oklahoma becomes the first school to have three of the first four NFL Draft picks since Notre Dame in 1946. OU also supplies the first overall No. 1 pick for the Big 12 in the conference's history.
But it didn't stop there. Oklahoma State unanimous All-America left tackle Russell Okung was selected by the Seattle Seahawks with the sixth pick. The Cincinnati Bengals took the fourth Sooner off the board in the first round with their selection of TE Jermaine Gresham with the 21st pick. Gresham's selection gives Oklahoma four first-round picks for the first time in the program's history. The Sooners previously supplied three first-rounders in 1976 and 1970.
Then Oklahoma State wide receiver Dez Bryant was selected by the Dallas Cowboys with the 24th overall pick. Bryant and Okung become the first Cowboy teammates to go in the first round since Barry Sanders and Hart Lee Dykes in 1989. As the 24th overall pick in the draft, Bryant becomes the second highest-drafted wide receiver in Oklahoma State history. Hart Lee Dykes was the 16th pick in 1989.

Sam Bradford, Gerald McCoy, Russell Okung and Trent Williams are among the 16 players who have accepted invitations to be in New York for the upcoming NFL Draft.
All four players are expected to be among the top picks in the draft on April 22. Bradford and McCoy are both expected to be among the top three players selected. Because the NFL has extended the draft to three days, the first two being held during prime time, the league has increased the number of invites. The 12 other players that accepted invitations are running backs C.J. Spiller and Jahvid Best; cornerbacks Joe Haden and Brandon Ghee; tackle Brian Bulaga; defensive tackles Lamarr Houston, Jared Odrick and Dan Williams; defensive end Derrick Morgan; receiver Demaryius Thomas and safety Eric Berry.
Bradford will also be a part of a group of interviews on ESPN (Cox able channel 25) this week. Bradford and three other quarterbacks will be interviewed by former Tampa bay and Oakland head coach and current analyst Jon Gruden. The interview with Bradford will be Thursday during the 6pm Sportscenter.
The NFL draft is next month and the debate is over who will go #1! Former Oklahoma star Gerald McCoy and Nebraska's Ndamukong Suh are the consensus choices but which goes first? McCoy appeared on the Dan Patrick Show and told the listeners why he should be the top pick.

Oklahoma defensive tackle Gerald McCoy said yesterday he will give up his senior season of eligibility and enter the NFL draft. McCoy, a human relations major, participated in a graduation ceremony yesterday and plans to complete his degree through online courses in the spring.
Heading to the Sun Bowl, McCoy has started 39 straight games for Oklahoma. That's a school record for defensive tackles. His 80 career tackles, including 32 for loss, and 13 1/2 sacks. Bob Stoops said in a statement that McCoy made the right decision to enter the draft.
The second-team all-America selection said in a statement that he made his decision around midseason when he realized he would have enough credits to graduate.

Oklahoma defensive tackle Gerald McCoy became OU's 66th consensus All-American when the Sporting News provided his third All-America team honor Tuesday.
The NCAA recognizes the lists of All-Americans selected by the Associated Press, American Football Coaches Association (AFCA), Football Writers Association of America (FWAA), Sporting News, and the Walter Camp Football Foundation to determine consensus All-Americans. At least three of these organizations have to select a player in order for him to receive the "consensus" honor.

McCoy was earlier named to the Football Writers and Walter Camp All-American teams.
McCoy is the 37th Sooner player to earn All-America honors in more than one season. He was named to All-America teams by The Sporting News and Sports Illustrated after the 2008 season.
McCoy was the target of frequent double-team blocking schemes during the 2009 season but still tallied 31 tackles, including 14.5 for losses. He also registered five sacks and a team-high 10 quarterback hurries.
McCoy broke up two passes, forced one fumble and recovered one fumble. During the season he broke the school record for most consecutive starts by a defensive lineman. That total now stands at 38.
McCoy and his teammates will play their season finale on Dec. 31 against Stanford in the 76th Brut Sun Bowl.
It was an interesting year for football in our state. OSU played their way into the top tean while Oklahoma struggled early. Even with the troubles, the Sooners still have two on the Walter Camp All American team. Defensive lineman Gerald McCoy and offensive lineman Trent Willams are on the first team as well as Oklahoma State offensive lineman Russell Okung. See the entire first and second team below.

The award will be officially presented on Dec. 9. The winner is selected by a panel of football coaches, sports media and former winners and finalists. Overall, approximately 500 people are involved in the selection process. The list of semifinalists was trimmed from the original watch list of 153 players.
Okung is considered one of America's top offensive linemen. He was a first-team all-Big 12 selection as a junior and is the ringleader of a Cowboy offensive line that ranks fourth nationally in fewest sacks allowed in 2009. OSU has led the Big 12 Conference in rushing all three seasons in which Okung has been a starter.
The Houston native and graduate of Bush High School has started 39 straight games heading into this weekend's matchup with Missouri. He became a starter in the OSU offensive line a true freshman in 2006.
Twice in his career, Okung, who is closing in on a degree in marketing, has shut down America's top pass rusher. In the 2007 Insight Bowl, Indiana's Greg Middleton entered the game leading the nation in quarterback sacks. He did not record a tackle in OSU's win over the Hoosiers.
Texas A&M's Von Miller led the nation in quarterback sacks entering last weekend. Against Okung and the Cowboys, he did not record a sack in OSU's 36-31 win in College Station.
In alphabetical order, the 12 semifinalists are:
Terrence Cody, Alabama, NG
Rennie Curran, Georgia, LB
Carlos Dunlap, Florida, DE
Jerry Hughes, TCU, DE
Rolando McClain, Alabama, LB
Gerald McCoy, Oklahoma, DT
Eric Norwood, South Carolina, LB
Russell Okung, Oklahoma State, LT
George Selvie, South Florida, DE
