John Roberson scored 22 points, Darko Cohadarevic added 12 and Texas Tech barely held off a second-half rally to beat Oklahoma 72-71 Tuesday night, snapping the Sooners' 31-game home winning streak against unranked opponents. Willie Warren and Tommy Mason-Griffin each missed potential game-winning 3-pointers in the final 5 seconds as Oklahoma (13-10, 4-5 Big 12) absorbed a disheartening blow to its postseason hopes. Texas Tech (16-7, 4-5) built a 12-point lead early in the second half and was able to stave off a series of comebacks to break a six-game losing streak and sweep the season series from the
Sooners. Warren had 18 points while playing his most significant minutes
since missing two games with a sprained ankle, and Tony Crocker
added 16 points and 11 rebounds for Oklahoma.
The Sooners played without suspended freshmen Steven Pledger and
Andrew Fitzgerald.
After becoming the first Oklahoma player to be the No. 1 overall pick in the NBA draft, the start of Blake Griffin's professional career has been delayed by injuries. His college teammates, meanwhile, have struggled at times to adapt to life without him. For one night, they'll reunite and reminisce about better times, and then try to make the best of what's ahead. He's scheduled to be honored during ``Blake Griffin Night'' in
Norman on Tuesday. The former Sooners star told reporters Monday it's been tough to miss his entire first NBA season but wanted to get his knee fixed so he won't have to ``deal with it in the future.'' While he's been out, he's been trying to encourage the Sooners as they're stuck in the middle of the pack in the Big 12.
Keiton Page scored 20 of his 22 points over an eight-minute span, but the Cowboys could not keep the Red Raiders off the free throw line as Oklahoma State fell to Texas Tech 81-74 here in Big 12 basketball action on Saturday.

John Roberson, who was held scoreless in the first meeting in Stillwater, scored a season-high 28 points while Mike Singletary added 22.
The win halted a two-game skid for the Red Raiders (15-7, 3-5 Big 12) and extended the Cowboys' losing streak to three.
The Red Raiders started the second half with a 13-4 run to go up 48-30 with about 15 minutes remaining. They had no turnovers in the first 10 minutes.
The Cowboys used an 18-7 run to pull within 63-57, and cut the deficit to 65-61 on two free throws by Ray Penn with 3:38 left but could get no closer.
Texas Tech held James Anderson, the nation's seventh-leading scorer (22.8 average), to 10 points, matching his season low. He fouled out with 5:02 left. Anderson had 28 points in the Cowboys' win over the Red Raiders in January.
Matt Pilgrim grabbed 12 rebounds as OSU outboarded the Raiders, 42-33.
Oklahoma State (16-7, 4-5) will take a week off before hosting the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday, Feb. 13, at 1 p.m. inside Gallagher-Iba Arena.
Pat Knight said that the other Texas Tech coaches verbally "hammered" their players at halftime.
The Red Raiders had stayed close to Oklahoma in the first half on Saturday night because of defense. But offensively, there was no team effort, Knight said.

"My vocabulary is pretty limited," said Knight, alluding to having used one cuss word repeatedly. "That's about it. You can't get too creative with that, but I got four assistants that have a wider range of vocabulary."
Something got through, as the Red Raiders came back to beat Oklahoma 75-65.
Mike Singletary had 24 points and 10 rebounds to lead Texas Tech.
"I thought the second half was great at both ends (of the floor)," Knight said.
The Red Raiders (14-5, 2-3 Big 12) pulled ahead in the final three minutes, closing the game on a 10-1 run.
Tommy Mason-Griffin scored 26 points to lead the Sooners (11-8, 2-3).
Trailing by 11 early in the second half, Texas Tech used a 12-0 run - highlighted by a 3-pointer by John Roberson and back-to-back shots beyond the arc by Singletary - to lead 35-34 with about 16 minutes remaining.
The Red Raiders led by four points twice afterward, but Mason-Griffin kept the Sooners close. He hit consecutive 3-pointers to tie it at 62-62.
Singletary had his fourth double-double of the season.
Anderson, the Big 12's scoring leader, had 16 points during a 29-1 charge in the first half that turned a six-point deficit into a commanding 44-22 lead for the Cowboys (13-2, 1-0 Big 12). He also hit a 3-pointer to finish a string of 10 straight points for OSU to put the game out of reach at 73-45 with 6:10 to play.
Ray Penn and Obi Muonelo each added 12 points and reserve Matt Pilgrim scored 11 as Oklahoma State won its fourth straight Big 12 opener.

Mike Singletary scored 13 points and David Tairu had 10 points off the bench for Texas Tech (12-3, 0-1), which had its lowest scoring total of the season and committed a season-high 21 turnovers.
John Roberson, Tech's second-leading scorer with a 13.9-point average, was held scoreless for the first time this season on 0-for-5 shooting.
The Red Raiders had been one of the surprises in the conference this season after finishing 11th in the Big 12 last season and getting picked near the bottom of the league in the preseason. Instead, they rolled into the Top 25 on the strength of an upset of Washington in nonconference play.
Texas Tech scored the first six points of the game and opened a 16-7 lead before Anderson started bringing the Cowboys back with a 3-pointer and a three-point play on consecutive possessions.
He then hit back-to-back 3-pointers to spark Oklahoma State's huge run and had 21 of the team's first 27 points, including a steal that led to a right-handed, fast-break dunk. The Red Raiders went more than 8 minutes between baskets as their deficit kept growing.
It was the seventh straight loss for Tech in Gallagher-Iba Arena.

Anderson Named to Midseason Wooden Award List
James Anderson was named to the midseason John R. Wooden Award Top 30 list, announced the first week of January. The Cowboy junior was inexplicably left off the preseason list, but rightly added after the holiday break. Anderson is one of five players from the Big 12 Conference mentioned on the list, which also includes Texas' Damion James and the Kansas trio of Cole Aldrich, Sherron Collins and Xavier Henry. This marks the 10th time in the last 12 seasons that OSU has had at least one player mentioned on the Wooden Award list, given annually to the nation's top player. Anderson joins Bryant Reeves (1995), Adrian Peterson (1999), Desmond Mason (2000), Maurice Baker (2002), John Lucas (2004, 2005), Joey Graham (2005), JamesOn Curry (2006, 2007) and Mario Boggan (2007) as Cowboys named to the Wooden Award list.

Crazy? Griffin won't argue with that.
"I am a little bit, I guess," said Griffin, who had 20 points and 19 rebounds. "I feel fine. I feel back to normal. I didn't think twice."
OU coach Jeff Capel, who dashed over to ensure his star was OK, said that show of hustle is not unusual for Blake. Griffin said he did not hit his head when he landed.
"He only knows one way to play," Capel said. "You're talking about a kid who hadn't played because of a concussion. He was just so happy to be out there playing today. Just glad to see that he was OK because that one over the scorer's table was a pretty nasty fall."
The Sooners never trailed, but Tech made it 50-49 midway through the second half. But the Sooners pulled away steadily and ended a two-game skid.
Griffin did not play in the Sooners' loss to No. 15 Kansas on Monday night, and was injured in the first half of their loss to Texas last week.
Terrel Harris scored 19 of his career-high 27 points in the first half to lead Oklahoma State past Texas Tech 92-82 last night.
