St. Paul protesters have made an impact here at the Republican National Convention. They have closed roads, made entrance difficult and even damaged local businesses.
But not all have been destructive. Some are just silly and unusual, with a little creativity tossed in.
Joe Kelley found a couple of guys who were getting their exercise in an unusual way Thursday outside the XCEL Center.
The KRMG Election Experience went on a hunt Thursday evening. We wanted to visit the Oklahoma delegation on the convention floor, not an easy task.
The media credentials we have are not good for the floor so we have to check out passes that get us there for a short time.
So, always in the quest for some video, we took off to the XCEL Energy center and found the good folks
Sarah Palin has been a super hit here in St. Paul. But how does she play in Oklahoma and with Oklahoma women?
State representative from House District 84, Sally Kern and State rep from District 67, Pam Peterson answered those questions when they visited the KRMG Election Experience Thursday afternoon.
Watch the video and listen to the ladies as well.
Broadcasting from the conventions has been the chance of a lifetime. The KRMG Election Experience has met some unique and fascinating people and one of them is Les Kinsolving.
Les has reported from the White House since the final term of Richard Nixon and has not missed a beat since then.
As we worked the halls of the conventions we got to know Les and wanted you to have a chance to meet him as well.
Listen to Les, and watch the video as well.
Muskogee Mayor John Tyler Hammons has been a huge presence here at the Republican National Convention. Hammons turned 20 years old on Thursday and got to realize a dream as well.
Mayor Hammons came to the convention with one big goal, to meet former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani.
He finally had that chance on Thursday and you can see the picture, hear the audio and see the video as well.
The XCEL Energy center was high energy Wednesday night as Sarah Palin introduced herself to the American people.
Everyone in the hall loved her speech as did Florida Congressman Jeff Miller. The good Congressman stopped by the KRMG Election Experience Thursday morning to talk about her speech and to look forward to John McCain's acceptance speech.
Listen, and watch the video from the hallways of the XCEL Energy center.
The Republican Convention comes to an end Thursday night when Senator John McCain accepts the party's nomination for President.
Up until now the backdrop for the major speeches has been the same. A simple stage with a large video screen behind it frames one side of the arena.
But as of Thursday morning, the RNC had workers busy taking down the old stage and constructing a brand new one just for McCain's speech.
The KRMG Election Experience was there with video camera in hand and you can see it below!
