The political season is in full swing and politics itself is considered a sport by many. Did you ever wonder if your favorite player was politically active? Oklahoma State won the first two games of the Bedlam series but Oklahoma took the third game and made the Big 12 tournament along the way. The Sooners win in game three 10-4, along with Kansas States' win over Kansas gave OU the final spot in the field. Oklahoma will be the #8 seed and will open play Wednesday at 2:30 against #1 seed Texas A&M. Oklahoma State ends up with the two seed, they face Kansas State Wednesday at 7:30. The Oklahoma softball team blasted Oregon 11-0 in the title game of the NCAA regional softball tournament. The Sooners move on to the Super Regional to face Arizona in Tucson.
The Tulsa Talons hammered the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgs 70-34 Saturday night to move to 4-0 on the year. Justin Allgood threw six touchdown passes and Jeff Hugley caught three of them. The win was the 12th straight for Tulsa dating back to last year, the longest streak in franchise history. Tulsa will hit the road this week for their toughest test of the young season when they play at Lubbock on Saturday night. Lubbock struggled but beat the Texas Copperheads 48-46 Saturday night to set up a battle between unbeatens. The Renegades are led by one of the most dangerous quarterbacks in AF2, Robert Kent. Chris Paul had 32 points and a franchise record 17 assists for the winners. Dwight Howard was a monster for Orlando as the Magic edged the Toronto Raptors 104-103. Howard had 29 points, 20 rebounds and five blocks as the Magic took a two games to none lead in the series. San Antonio fell behind big early but came back to beat Phoenix 102-96. Tony Parker scored 32 for the Spurs.
