Eight Belles

The Kentucky Derby was both glorious and tragic Saturday. Derby favorite Big Brown won the race and Tulsa horse Denis of Cork ran a magnificent third. But the runner up, filly Eight Belles had to be euthanized after breaking both front ankles. Read about the triumph, and the tragedy that was the 134th Run for the Roses.
