Hear the new OSU fight song Cowboys Forever
Do you love it or do you hate it? There isn't any in between for Oklahoma State fans after Cowboys Forever" came out.
Cowboys Forever is the new fight song for Oklahoma State athletics. 
The song was written and performed by Baylor grad John Martin. John is the son of OSU assistant AD Dave Martin. Take a look at an excerpt from Johns website below explaining the song and then listen to the new standard for the Pokes.
"one of the many facets that makes OSU different, Pistol Pete. I've always thought that it was very unique that the school's mascot was a real person! Frank Eaton was a larger than life type person, and for this project, I wanted to embrace the story of Pistol Pete. After watching all the video I could find and reading as much information that I could get my hands on about Frank Eaton, I wrote the song "Cowboys Forever". The lyrics are loosely based on the legend of Pistol Pete, setting out to "avenge the blood" of his father." We would LOVE to have your comments below!

- Song is not horrible, but not great. And by the way, this is not a fight song idiots, this is just a song to play during pregame festivities, never meant to replace any song we already use. I think they will play it once and be done in my opinion.
- This isn't necessarily meant to be a fight song. They aren't going to play it when the team runs out. It's just like some of the other songs they play and have played in the past at the games that aren't necessarily fight songs but still are "Cowboy" songs. So don't get too bent out of shape about it. It's a nice little song, not real manly or anything but it captures the Old West type spirit which is what it seems that the author meant to do.

I don't care if NIKE and some well known pop music producers were involved in the project...this song does not connect with the majority of OSU Cowboy football fans, and I do not believe that the song (even played over the video) will generate the atmosphere that we want to have inside of Boone Pickens Stadium on gamedays!
