(audio) Tulsa goes to 5-0 with 79-65 win
Tulsa is in rare territory. The Hurricane hasn't started 5-0 since their Elite Eight year of 1999-2000. Add 2009-'10 to that list after Tuesdays 79-65 win over the Lions of Loyola-Marymount. Ben Uzoh led Tulsa with a superb overall game that included 22 points and 11 rebounds to go with five assists.
Listen here as head coach Doug Wojcik talks about the win from a happy locker room!
Jerome Jordan had 11 points but more importantly blocked six shots to make him the all time shot blocker for TU with 276.
The Hurricane held Loyola to 39% shooting and allowed Lions star Drew Viney only 12 shots from the field.
Tulsa will hit the road for a BIG game on Saturday at Missouri State before coming home to host Oklahoma State next Wednesday night.
