World class BMX racing returns to Tulsa
The first BMX Olympic medalists will compete after the sport made its official debut in the 2008 Olympic Games. Olympic Gold Medalist Maris Strombergs, from Latvia; Silver Medalist Mike Day, from the USA; and Bronze Medalist and current BMX World Champion Donny Robinson, from the USA, will be racing along with Team USA member Kyle Bennett who is in the ABA BMX PRO Title chase. And not to be excluded, the Women's 4-Cross World Champion Caroline Buchanan, of Australia, will also compete.
The Pro Spectacular features professional racers in the Grand Nationals performing astonishing stunts across a 100-square-foot track. The redesigned course will add more technical difficulty to this year's exciting competition attracting competitors from Italy, France, The Netherlands and the UK to Tulsa.
The excitement will unfold at the QuikTrip Center Thursday, Nov. 26 - Sunday, Nov. 29 and is expected to have an estimated $7.2 million economic impact for the city of Tulsa.
General admission tickets are $10 for the main event and spectator favorite, the Pro Spectacular on Friday, Nov. 27 with gates opening at 6:15 p.m. and the race at 7 p.m. Tickets to the Pro Spectacular may be purchased at exposquare.com, through Expo Ticket Xpress by calling 918.376.6000 or onsite the day of the show. All other races are free to attend.
