Is Oklahoma about to lose another football coach?
Having good football coaches means somtimes losing good football coaches. Bob Stoops knows all about that as several of his assistants have gone on to be head coaches. The next guy in that group may be offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson. WIlson was said to be a finalist for the Lousiana Tech job (that one went to Arizona assistant Sonny Dykes) but others have come calling. East Carolina is said to have interviewed Wilson but he isn't the only guy on the list. Jacksonville assistant and former Alabama head coach Mike Shula, Texas Tech interim head coach Ruffin McNeill, and Pirates offensive coordinator Steve Shankweiler are also in gthe mix.
All these folks are looking to replace Skip Holtz who left Greenville last week to bew the new head coach at South Florida. .
Wilson is from North Carolina (Maiden, N.C.,) he also played his college football atUNC.
WIlson has been at OU since 2002 and has been the offensive coordinator since 2006.
