Tulsa falls in to UTEP in a battle for first place

There was a lot on the line Saturday night including sole possesion of first place in Conferfence USA. When the smoke cleared, it was the Miners on top of the heap. Jeremy Williams had 15 points and Derrick Caracter added 12 points and 12 rebounds as UTEP beat Tulsa 73-59.

Christian Polk and Arnett Moultrie had 10 points each for the Miners (17-5, 8-1 C-USA), who won their seventh straight game.
Jerome Jordan had 20 points and five rebounds for Tulsa (18-5, 7-2).
The score stayed close until UTEP took control midway through the second half. Julyan Stone gave the Miners the lead for good, 38-37, with a jumper, starting a 23-10 run that resulted in a 59-47 advantage with 5:59 remaining.
Moultrie had 11 rebounds.
