This is the kind of issue that always strikes me as curious (so to speak) - had people not protested this image, it would not have received the attention that it is. The fact is that protesters are likely helping this guy sell the very same shirts that they find so entirely offensive.

Does that mean that images deemed offensive should go unchallenged?

No.

But those who would challenge such issues might ought to consider the law of unintended consequences.
