Actress Jennifer Connelly has been in her fare share of serious dramas including Requiem For A Dream and A Beautiful Mind. But the Oscar-winning actress says that her latest film, The House Of Sand And Fog, is the most moving of them all. In the film, Connelly plays a recovering alcoholic who turns back to the bottle when she's evicted from her home which is then sold to an Iranian family for well below market value. Her character, Kathy Nicolo, begins a path of destructive behavior in her desperation to get her home back, and she eventually finds herself being saved by the very family she set out to destroy.

Connelly says that she was grateful for the things in her own life after watching The House Of Sand And Fog: "My experience when I walked out of the movie having seen it was I felt like I had been sort of shaken. And I came out and thought, 'I just want to go home and see my family. I want to go hug my son.' And I felt so grateful for things that I had."

The House Of Sand And Fog is now playing in major cities nationwide.
