Neal Kennedy has worked in radio news in Oklahoma for more than 35 years. He started part time at WKY in Oklahoma City while still in college. Following graduation in 1971, he served in the Army before returning to WKY when he was discharged.

Neal moved to Tulsa in 1975 to work for KVOO radio and came to KRMG in 1999. He's been president of the Oklahoma Associated Press Broadcasters Association, UPI Broadcasters and on the board of directors of the Tulsa Press Club.

He's received awards for investigative reporting and spot news from both the AP and UPI. The Boy Scouts of America and Metropolitan Environmental Trust have also honored Kennedy with special awards for his contributions.

Kennedy has worked every shift in a newsroom from State Capitol Reporter to morning and afternoon anchor. He currently is a general assignment reporter covering Northeastern Oklahoma.

Away from KRMG, Neal is on the pit crew for a race car team that competes in Sports Car Club of America events. His drivers won National Championships in 1997 and 2004. When he's not at the track maintaining team cars he repairs and collects old clocks and Corvettes.
