(Tulsa, OK) -There might be oil or gas deposits beneath city of Tulsa land. Councilors are expected to take the first step toward recovering it this week. They're to sign a deal with Red Fork Investments, giving the energy company a lease to explore for natural gas below city owned land in Mayes County. The acreage is along the Spavinaw water flowline. The city would make money through lease fees and royalties. It could lead to more oil and gas exploration under other city property. It's an idea first recommended by a citizen's group studying ways to finance street and other infrastructure projects.

You know, what doesn't line the pocketbook of our extraodinarily wealthy mayor needs to at least pay to fix our streets! I wanna know more--and expect that the city doesn't go back to a "good ole' boy" system of government!
