New Laws
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Several Oklahoma bills are taking effect, the first day of the new state fiscal year.
One requires that prenatal classes include instruction on the risks of drug and alcohol use during pregnancy.
Another new law requires that signs be posted at gasoline pumps telling motorists whether their fuel contains ethanol or methanol.
Another calls for a 5-thousand dollar death benefit to be paid to the family of an emergency medical technician who dies on duty.
