River Rescue
(Tulsa, OK) -- A teenager jumps into the Arkansas River from the pedestrian bridge near downtown Tulsa. Eyewitnesses say the 14-year-old climbed over a rail on an observation platform, held his nose, and jumped. He managed to grasp a branch to avoid being swept away in the swift flowing water. Rescuers were able to get close enough to get a rope and flotation ring to him, then pull him into a fire department boat. He was not seriously injured, just wet, cold, and scared. Observers at the scene say he was on an outing with a group from the Tulsa Boys' Home. What others are saying
