(Sand Springs, OK) -- Fireworks and the fourth. Sand Springs is celebrating its new ordinance that allows people to shoot fireworks off if they buy a permit. Assistant Police Chief Mike Carter says the money raised allowed them to boost patrols and respond to 126 fireworks complaint calls.  He says they may want to tweak the ordinance but overall it seems to have accomplished the goal of responsible fireworks usage.
