Man fires shot after robbing credit union
TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Tulsa police say a man who robbed a Tulsa credit union fired into the building as he fled.
Police Captain Richard Alexander says none of the people inside Credit Union Service Centers was hurt in yesterday's heist.
Police say a black male about 6 feet tall walked into the credit union about 6:20 p.m. and demanded money.
Alexander says as the man left the credit union, he fired one shot into a wall, which exited the building and entered the ceiling of a adjacent Taco Bell restaurant.
Police say he left with a white man in a black 2001 Ford Explorer with a license plate of 910-JAO. Witnesses who saw them leave the scene described the men as being in their 20s.
The robber was thin and wore a camouflage mask and a black T-shirt. Officers found a white ball cap with a red rhinoceros on it that they believe belongs to the robber.
Police didn't say how much he got, but an employee estimated to be more than $10,000.
Anyone with information about the robbery can call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-2677.
