OHP identifies body found at rest stop
CHANDLER, Okla. (AP) - The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has identified the body of a woman troopers found at an Interstate 44 rest stop near Chandler.
Patrol Captain Chris West said yesterday that 23-year-old Alicia Jean Orihel of Farmington, Michigan, was discovered on Monday.
West says a preliminary autopsy revealed that Orihel died after hanging herself in a tree at the rest stop.
Authorities began searching for Orihel after they found an abandoned vehicle parked at the rest stop on Saturday.
The vehicle was impounded and West said investigators began looking for the owner.
