BA Superintendent Controversy Continues
(Broken Arrow, OK) - Last week, the Broken Arrow Public Schools Board of Education voted three to two not to allow public comment during a special meeting to suspend Superintendent Dr. Jim Sisney. During their regular Monday night meeting, they didn't have a choice but only two people chose to speak but made it clear they did not appreciate being silenced during the special meeting. A third person had signed up but decided not to address the board after the board's president made it clear comments would have to remain civil. Dee Master says she had planned on being very sarcastic. In other action two items dealing with the district's new law firm were pulled from the agenda before it was adopted, effectively stopping any board discussion. That vote was also three to two with board members Shari Wilkins, Sharon Whelpley and Maryanne Flippo on the prevailing side.
