Pryor Plant to Close
(Pryor, Ok)--Early next year a plant in Pryor will close and move its operations to Texas and Mexico. The closing of the Labinal Inc. facility will mean the loss of nearly 500 jobs. The plant in the Mid-America Industrial Park builds aerospace wire harnesses. Reacting to the news the Mayor of Pryor, Jimmy Tramel, said his first concern is with the hundreds of workers and their families. Tramel says the city will join the company in doing all it can to help those people find new jobs. Tramel admits the Mayes County town will take a "hard hit" with the loss of so many jobs. He says Pryor will suffer as sale tax revenues shrink. In a couple of weeks he expects to have a better idea on just how the town will be impacted advertisement
