(Tulsa, OK)--With the help of old photos and rarely seen video, a documentary film presents a moment that for years was ignored in Tulsa. Many people hoped it would be forgotten. The BEFORE THEY DIE documentary serves as a stark reminder that Tulsa suffered a devastating race riot in 1921. Several people who survived the violence that erupted and focused on the city's black population share the horror of the time. The documentary also covers the so far unsuccessful fight to secure reparations for those who lost so much in the riot. The premiere screening will be at 3:00 PM Sunday in the Tulsa Performing Arts Center.
