One man dies during an attempted home invasion
TULSA, Ok. - An attempted home invasion turned into a homicide early Tuesday morning. Two or three men reportedly tried to kick in the front door of a home at 1333 North Irvington. Tulsa Police Captain Shawn King says two of the suspects, who may have been teenagers dressed in black, got away. King says, "Family was in the living room actually watching t-v. Dad had access to a handgun nearby and shot one of the bad guys as they were trying to get in. We've got one bad guy who is dead." He says one or two suspects left the scene. King says the suspects apparently thought the occupants had money inside the house.
What others are saying
- Pass the ammo
- Home InvasionYES! Now here is a good argument FOR Gun Control -- i.e., control your gun to aim right and hit what you're shooting at! Sorry to be giddy about this, but like most hard working people I can't help but feel some satisfaction that someone who was about to rob a family of money, safety, maybe health or a life, and destroy that family's, friends', and relatives' feeling of justice and safety for decades -- that that someone got what all of these people deserve!
- Home InvasionIt's just homicide till the police find it was justifed. Gotta protect the scum. Even if they deserve it.
- Home InvasionHow is that a homicide?
"And what do we have for them behind door #1?" - Congratulations!
- home invasionLock and load!!!! Good shot!!!!
- Home IvasionGood shooting Dad!
