(Tulsa, OK) - The familiar metal framework is in place, the electrical power has been connected, and soon the giant letters will be hoisted into position.

Over the years, the large Meadow Gold sign became a famous landmark along Route 66 through Tulsa.  After going dark and falling into disrepair, preservationists arrange for it to be restored, using money from Vision 2025 along with other sources.

Officials say it will be back to its original condition, including the neon-illuminated letters.  The only major change is that it's been moved from it's original location at 11th and Lewis to a spot just a few block west at 11th and Quaker.
