The warmer temperatures have allowed storm victims in Adair County, one of the hardest hit areas by the winter storm, to return home and clean up debris. But, they could still be in the dark for a while. Crews say it could take weeks to turn the lights back on to close to 7,000 residents still without power. During the peak of the storm, there were 40,000 people staewide without electricity.

The American Red Cross still has four shelters open in the area and they are still delivering food. Red Cross officials say they still desperately need blood and money donations.

The two day winter storm is blamed for five deaths and scores of traffic accidents.
