Court date expected for man accused of child prostitution
On Wednesday, a Pittsburg County judge is expected to set a trial date for 43-year-old Richard Turpin.
Turpin is accused of child sexual abuse, inducing a minor to engage in prostitution and two counts of placing an obscene, threatening or harassing phone call after two or more felony convitions.
Authorities said the McAlester man wanted to pay a girl $200 to let him commit sexual acts on her.
