Apparently, many, many Tulsa Citizens did NOT do their HOMEWORK to know that the ONLY REASON Kathy Taylor became a Democrat, is the SAME EXACT reason Senator Arlene Spector became one; because she could NOT WIN as a Republican! Kathy Taylor JUMPED ship and ran as a Democrat. After I researched her political association, its how I learned she was a STRAIGHT UP REPUBLICAN, and would WASTE and SPEND our Tax dollars on the TOP REPUBLICAN'S issues. She has been OVER CHARGING on all PROJECTS to line the pockets of her cronies, and they have been making out like the greedy pigs they are.

For her to get on TV one night and announce that Oklahoma will have a Professional NWA Team, then not two days later, she announces the layoff of the VERY PEOPLE the NWA will need to POLICE their games! How inept, how STUPID IS THAT? Does she believe the already OVER STRETCHED 1st Responders will put in EXCESSIVE hours to police a basketball game, GOD, I PRAY NOT! Crime has TRIPLEFOLD in our City, along with Meth Labs, how will the remaining officers be able to handle all of this? They will be bone tired, and of course will effect their job performances, WHICH MEANS, No pay increase for them, despite the fact, the meager pay increases they've gotten, will drop to NONE!

I've had my issues with one or two officers, but would NEVER paint the whole police Dept. as corrupt or racist. I'm feeling really bad for my Policemen and women, and I'm feeling very vulnerable with 21, First Responder's being laid off! If anyone should be fired and laid off, it should be MAYOR KATHY TAYLOR, along with her 12 INEPT Assistant's! I will be there to Protest, the woman obviously needs to be checked into a sanitarium, for the Mentally Disturbed!

I find it very interesting that the report of this protest is not on any local channels websites. I called channel 6 to ask if they knew about it and she said "Oh yeah". What's going on, is the media being silenced by Mayor Taylor? She's not that powerful guys, stand up and report this protest so others will know about it and come. Shame on you 2,6,& 8!

To Really! Are you serious? The mayor is being responsible? Where have you been? The mayor had 13 assistants and let one go. While many make over 100,000 she let go of the one in the 60's! Well bless her heart for being responsible. There isn't enough room to list the things she has done to this city.
Also, FYI, George Bush borrowed money from the Chinese several times to give those "tax cuts". He's the one who put us in bed with them and it was widely protested and reported. Blame Obama for lots of things but he got this mess from Bush. While his attempt at solutions is questionable, let's not forget who put this country on this track.

maybe the mayor should rethink the policy TPD has of not extraditing on traffic warrants. i work for a county sheriffs office that lines up to Tulsa City limits and they won't even meet us there to pick up someone with big traffic warrants. you start adding the twenty to thrity people a month we let go with those warrants, it might be enough to save a cop or two's job.

Everyone in blue is thankful for the support. We do this work for the people, not the money. It is a passion that some people may not understand. Losing those 21 officers is like losing your brother or sister. I hope the powers that be can work something out and get them back on the job to serve the City of Tulsa.
