Firefighters Rescue Broken Arrow Man

(Broken Arrow, OK) - Broken Arrow firefighters pulled an unconscious man from his burning home in the 3700 block of South Sycamore Wednesday morning.
When firefighters arrived on the scene at 6:18 a.m., neighbors told them they thought there could be a man inside the house.
Deputy Chief James Suddath says when firefighters made their entry into the house, there was an intense fire burning in the living room, as well as extreme heat and smoke in the front bedroom where they found the man unconscious in bed.
Suddath says firefighters performed CPR on the man in the front yard and then transported him to a hospital. He says the man had vital signs but was having serious respiratory distress.
The cause of the fire is unknown, but Suddath says it appears to have started on a living room couch, and neighbors indicated that the man is a smoker. The man's condition is unknown.
