Mangum Officer Involved in Domestic Shooting

MANGUM, Okla. (AP) _ State investigators say an off-duty Mangum police officer was involved in a shooting after a domestic disturbance at the home of a relative.
Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Jessica Brown says investigators believe 37-year-old officer Brian Ditmore shot his brother-in-law during the disturbance Thursday night in Mangum.
Brown says authorities later entered the home and found Ditmore dead from an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest. The state medical examiner's office will determine the cause of death.
Brown says the brother-in-law _ 41-year-old Fred Willis _ was taken to an Altus hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
