Senator Coburn says bill to create more problems than it solves
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The senate will take up a health care bill after Thanksgiving but on ABC's This Week, Oklahoma Senator Tom Coburn suggested the bill is going to create more problems than it solves. "With 1,597 different instances where the Secretary has mandated the right rules and regulations, if you think that's not going to get between patients and their doctors, I have a whole lot of swamp land in Oklahoma I'd like to sell you," Coburn says. The bill includes a controversial government-run insurance program but with an option for individual states to opt out. Health care coverage would be given to 31-million Americans now without insurance.
