Elderly woman treated for smoke inhalation at Sand Springs house fire
SAND SPRINGS, Ok. - A Sand Springs house fire was brought under control this morning. Firefighters were called to 901 North Franklin just before 5 a.m. today. Investigators say an electrical transformer fell on the roof of the house and started the fire that was quickly put out by members of the Sand Springs Fire Department. An 88-year old woman inside the house suffered some smoke inhalation and was treated at the scene. No one else was injured. Firefighters called for PSO to respond and restore electrical service to several residents in the neighborhood who were without power after the fire.
