SAPULPA, Ok. - Sapulpa authorities are investigating a suspicious house fire early today on the west side of town near the golf course. It happened about 11 p.m. Thursday near Highway 66 on Hawthorne Street. Witnesses reported seeing people leaving the house at a high rate of speed just before the fire was reported. There was no one at the house at the time of the fire. A dog perished in the blaze. The cause is still under investigation. Investigators say the house was valued at about $50,000 and will be a total loss.
