(Tulsa, OK) - A meningitis vaccination clinic will be offered for all students and staff in the Oologah school district.  State Epidemiologist Dr. Kristy Bradley says what was offered to some students and employees last week were antibiotics which give quick but temporary protection.  For a long term shield against the disease vaccination is recommended.  Dr. Bradley says it usually takes ten to 14 days for a vaccine to become effective at offering protection.  The clinics are Friday and Saturday in the school district's elementary gymnasium.  On Friday the clinic runs from noon to 7 p.m.  On Saturday it runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
