Sat, June 17, 2017 — We have bad news regarding the homicide rate in Tulsa.

The city has had 39 homicides in 2017.  Police say they’re worried because Tulsa is well on its way to break last year's record of 82.

“We can’t hide it,” TPD said.  “It’s a rapid rate.  It’s higher than last year at this time.”

For reference, five of the homicides have happened in the last week and eight just in June.  Right now, six homicides remain unsolved.
