A Texas family hasn't enjoyed their time in Tulsa after their stuff was stolen straight out of their hotel room this week.

The theft happened at the Quality Inn and Suites near 31st and Memorial.  KRMG’s told the Simpson family is in town for the Tulsa Shootout racing event.

They estimate around $2,500 worth of property was taken.

“There were no signs of forced entry or anything like that,” the father said.  “So, the police and everybody else believes that somebody had access to maybe a pass key.”

The Simpson family adds the hotel should take responsibility for their stolen items. We reached out to the Quality Inn and Suites and they have no comment.
