Thu, July 20, 2017 — A third grade teacher at Tulsa Public Schools is going above and beyond to try and get classroom supplies for her students.
Teresa Danks stood out of the the side of an intersection with a sign, pleading for school supplies.
“We are begging,” Danks said. “We don’t want to call it that, but this kind of shows it is.”
Danks tells us she is now spending between $2,000 and $3,000 of her $35,000 salary on supplies for her students. So, she's pleading for help from the public.
“It’s sad, but it’s where we’re at,” Danks said.
