An Oklahoma woman filed a lawsuit against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs alleging she was sexually assaulted at a party thrown by Combs in 2006.
According to the lawsuit, a radio contest offered the winner an all-expenses paid vacation for them and a guest to visit New York City with two tickets to attend a “Diddy White Party.”
The lawsuit states this contest was sponsored by Combs, Bad Boy Entertainment, Atlantic Records and Delta Airlines who are all named as defendants in the lawsuit.
The contest was won by the half-sibling of Latroya Grayson—the plaintiff in this lawsuit—and her half-sibling chose Grayson to be their guest on the trip.
According to the lawsuit, the party was eventually scheduled for October 16, 2006 and the theme was changed from a “White Party” to a “Black Party.”
The lawsuit states that after arriving at their hotel, a transportation van arrived at the hotel to take Grayson and other contest winners, who had won the contest in their home cities, to the Black Party.
At the party’s location, Grayson and the other contest winners were asked to wait in line for entrance to the party. The lawsuit alleges “individuals were not let into the party based on their position in line, but based on their attractiveness and attire.”
According to the lawsuit, this ultimately resulted in Grayson being admitted to the party after 45 minutes, but her sibling was not allowed inside.
In the lawsuit, it’s stated the Black Party had no bar for attendees to get drinks and premade drinks were instead being given out by waitresses.
Grayson said after having two of the premade drinks, she began to feel sick and attempted to find a bathroom.
The lawsuit then states the next memory Grayson has is of waking up in the hospital with no memory of how she had ended up there.
Grayson reported that upon waking up, she saw her shirt was ripped, she was missing her underwear and shoes and all her money had been taken except a single $20 bill.
The day after returning to Oklahoma, the lawsuit says Grayson received a threatening phone call from an unknown female caller with a New York area code.
The caller then allegedly stated any attempt to pursue legal action for Grayson’s assault would be useless and “just be wasting her time” because of Combs’ status as a celebrity.
Grayson stated she did not seek out medical treatment or report her assault due to her uncertainty about what had happened to her and because of the threat she had received telling her legal action would be useless.
Combs is currently in jail on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and conspiracy.
He is scheduled to go to trial in May.
