TULSA, Okla. — The City of Tulsa announced crews will be carrying out traffic signal repairs at four intersections across the city.
Until the traffic signals can be repaired, the City advised drivers to treat these intersections as all-way stops.
Listed below are the four affected intersections:
- East 43rd Street and South Yale Avenue – Needs Repairs Following a Power Surge
- East 91st Street and South Delaware Avenue – Needs Repairs Due to Old Hardware
- East 7th Street and South Elgin Avenue – Needs Repairs Due to Bad Wiring
- Gilcrease Museum Road and West Edison Road – Covered as Part of Ongoing Road Construction
The City said the Gilcrease Museum Road and West Edison Road intersection is expected to operate as an all-way stop for the next two months while construction in the area is underway.
At this time, the City said a full restoration schedule isn’t available.
Drivers should prepare for delays and should remember to be treating these intersections as four-way stops while the traffic signals are being worked on.
The City also provided the following updates on current construction projects affecting traffic flow in the Tulsa area:
- Gilcrease Museum Road (From Admiral to Pine) — The City said this street reconstruction project is 25% complete and construction is scheduled to be completed in late 2026.
- East 91st Street (From Memorial to Mingo) — The City said this street widening project is over halfway done. Currently, two-way traffic is being diverted to the northbound lanes. Construction is scheduled to be completed in early 2027.
- East 15th Street (From Lewis to Harvard) — This is a street rehabilitation project that’s set to begin in early March. Construction is scheduled to be completed in spring 2027, depending on applicable weather delays.
- North Utica Avenue (From Admiral to Pine) — The City said this street rehabilitation and waterline replacement project is almost halfway complete. The City plans to reduce North Utica Avenue to one northbound lane beginning on Feb. 23. Construction is scheduled to be completed in summer 2027, depending on applicable weather delays.
- South Utica Avenue (From 11th to 15th) — This is a street rehabilitation project set to begin later this month. Construction is scheduled to be completed in late 2026, depending on applicable weather delays.
