17-year-old injured during east Tulsa drive-by shooting

TULSA, Okla. — A 17-year-old boy was injured during a drive-by shooting in east Tulsa Thursday.

Officers responded to a shooting near East 7th Street and South 73rd East Avenue around 7 p.m.

A 17-year-old boy was found lying in the driveway with a gunshot wound to his leg. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The victim told officers he got into an argument with two people at the park and started walking home on East 7th Street. As he walked, someone passed by in a car and shot him in the leg.

Police said the victim was not sure what the suspect looked like and only described the car as being a dark color.

Officers searched the area, but an investigation is still underway.
