BAPD releases description of vehicle believed to be involved in hit-and-run

BROKEN ARROW — The Broken Arrow Police Department believes they have the color and type of car involved in a hit-and-run this past weekend.

On Saturday, Feb. 28, Broken Arrow Police were called out to an auto-pedestrian hit-and-run on North Aspen Avenue, located just south of West Omaha Street. Authorities say between 2:30 and 3:00 a.m., a pedestrian was hit by a car, and the car drove away.

After watching security cameras in the area, BAPD thinks the vehicle is a black four-door sedan that was seen pulling into a Walgreens parking lot after the crash. The hit-and-run victim suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital.

Police say the driver is considered a person of interest in the investigation.

They are also asking local body shops to be on the lookout for vehicles matching the description that may have come in for repairs consistent with the collision.
