Tulsa Police responded to a stabbing that they believe was due to a drug deal that went south.
Tulsa Police were called out to a stabbing near South Sheridan and East Admiral, where a man had suffered multiple stab wounds. When they arrived, the man was stabbed numerous times, but police found some of the wounds were accidentally self-inflicted.
Tulsa Police Communications Officer Andre Baul tells KRMG it looks like a drug deal gone bad that resulted in a fight between the man who was stabbed and three to four individuals. The man was stabbed by his own knife and someone else’s knife during the melee.
The man was taken to the hospital, and when he’s released, he will face robbery charges.
Tulsa Police are investigating a stabbing Wednesday night as “self-defense” after a man was stabbed multiple times near Pine and Harvard.
At around 10 p.m., Tulsa police were called to the scene of a stabbing involving two men in a vehicle. According to police, the two were in a pickup truck together when the driver stabbed the passenger three times after the passenger attacked him.
Tulsa Police Communications officer Andre Baul tells KRMG the two did not know each other, and the driver says he was protecting himself. Baul says the passenger was allegedly on drugs and wouldn’t respond until NARCAN was administered. He was then taken to the hospital.
Detectives are currently treating the incident as self-defense.
