BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — Broken Arrow’s Vanguard Academy held their STEM last night.
Students at the STEM-focused high school got to show off a variety of projects.
One of their programs brought in Rhodes Elementary students to test out academy students’ projects they plan to pitch to Discovery Lab in Tulsa.
“It’s one thing if I go and share stem with an elementary student, but it’s so much more powerful when we have high school students going and engaging with these elementary students and show what they can do using the stuff that we teach them at school and it’s stuff they can use every day of their lives.” said Reese Hudley, a Human-Centered Design Coach.
Other Vanguard students presented projects that tackle different real-world problems like homelessness and Alzheimer’s awareness.
