TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Police Department said they’re investigating a fatal shooting in north Tulsa.
The department said they were called out to a house near North Fulton Avenue and North Erie Place around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday after a friend of the victim called 911.
The friend told police they’d received a concerning message from the victim earlier in the day, which led them to stop by the man’s home to check on him.
Police said the victim, who police describe as a Hispanic man in his mid-20s, had died from a fatal gunshot wound.
The department said they spoke with neighbors in the area to find leads, but said information is limited at the moment.
Law enforcement said both crime scene and homicide detectives actively investigated the scene.
Authorities said a suspect in this case hasn’t been identified at this time.
If you have any information on this investigation, the department asks that you reach out to Tulsa Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
You may remain anonymous when calling and the department said anyone who makes a tip that leads to an arrest may be eligible for an award.
