Construction speed limit expanded on Highway 169 in Owasso

OWASSO, Okla. — The temporary 55 miles per hour Construction Area Speed Limit on Highway 169 in Owasso has been expanded in the interest of public safety.

With the move by the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, there is a gradual deceleration from 70 miles per hour to 65 miles per hour, then to 55 miles per hour, before entering the enforcement area.

Northbound traffic will see the new 55 miles per hour signs south of 56th Street North, and southbound traffic will see the new sign on the south side of East 106th Street North.

Owasso Police and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol will be working to enforce the construction zone areas.
