Juvenile injured in drive-by shooting in east Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. — A juvenile was injured in a drive-by shooting that occurred in east Tulsa on Thursday.

The Tulsa Police Department said they received a report around 7:10 p.m. that a juvenile had been shot in the leg near East 7th Street and South 73rd East Avenue.

Police said they quickly responded to the scene, and the juvenile was transported to the hospital.

Authorities said their initial investigation indicates the victim and suspect got into a fight at McClure Park, which is what led to the drive-by shooting.

The department said this incident is still under active investigation.
