MUSKOGEE, Okla. — A former Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations (OSBI) agent found guilty of three counts of sexual abuse of a minor was sentenced on Thursday.

According to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, 37-year-old Jordan Toyne from Broken Arrow was sentenced to nine years and one month in prison for each of his three counts.

His sentences are set to be served concurrently.

Toyne was found guilty of the charges by a federal jury in Jan. 2025.

According to authorities, an investigation revealed Toyne had sexually abused a minor starting in the summer of 2020 and continuing until 2023.

Investigators stated they also discovered Toyne had sexually abused another minor in 2021.

Authorities said Toyne was serving as an investigator with the OSBI’s Internet Crimes Against Children unit when these assaults took place.

While law enforcement said Toyne’s victims were unrelated to his OSBI position, they do believe there’s evidence indicating he used knowledge learned from being a Child Crimes Investigator to groom his victims and to help keep himself from getting caught.

Toyne will remain in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service until he can be transferred to a United States Bureau of prisons facility to begin serving his sentence.
