Former TAEMA Director pleads guilty to child pornography charge

The former Director of the Tulsa Area Emergency Management has pleaded guilty to child pornography charges.

Joseph Kralicek was arrested back in August and was removed from his position at TAEMA.

Investigators say a tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force led the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office to serve a search warrant at Kralicek’s home.

Detectives say they found him to be in possession of a dozen videos, and hundreds of pictures that depicted child sexual abuse.

Court documents say Kralicek was also having an inappropriate conversation on the social messaging app Kik, with an account that claimed to be a sixteen-year-old girl.

Kralicek took a plea deal Monday morning, pleading guilty to one count of possession of child pornography.

He was sentenced to 10 years, with 6 years in custody and 4 years suspended.

Kralicek will also be required to register as a sex offender.
