OBN announces passing of K-9 Xena

OKLAHOMA — Retired Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics K-9 Xena passed away comfortably surrounded by her handler and family on Sunday.

The retired 15-year-old K-9 died around 10:30 a.m. after a battle with bone cancer.

OBN said Xena served the State of Oklahoma from 2013 to 2022. She had been honored and chosen for multiple State and National awards while performing her job.

Her career includes over 400 felony arrests, 12,643 pounds of narcotics and over $15 million in drug currency take off of the interstates and streets of Oklahoma.
