TULSA, Okla. — Shoppers still looking for those last-minute Christmas gifts got a little extra help thanks to Last-Minute Christmas Market.
The holiday market featured more than 50 local vendors offering gifts, desserts, decor, and other seasonal finds.
Organizers say the event is designed to help shoppers finish their Christmas lists while supporting small businesses.
“We chose to do last-minute market because no one’s really doing it around here, said Justina Guthrie, event organizer and owner of Green Country Elegance. “Everybody kind of last-minute shops. I, personally, myself haven’t even finished and it’s Thursday. I haven’t even done my shopping yet…We’ve found that most people haven’t done their shopping, so they’re all looking for a place to go.”
Guthrie says her goal was to offer bigger events for the public to attend that’s free.
“My goal was to just bring more fun to the community and give people more to do.” said Guthrie.
The first 50 to 60 people there received free grab bags and local vendors were on site serving meals and treats.
Families also got to visit with Santa before he headed off to deliver presents.
